Four treasured local artists treat us to a feast of sonatas. Xue Su, principal flute for Symphoria, and Sar-Shalom Strong, who teaches at Hamilton College, will play the Prokofiev flute sonata, a masterpiece for the instrument. Peter Rovit, Symphoria's concertmaster, and Ida Tili-Trebicka, on the faculty at SU, will perform the beloved Franck violin sonata. Then we will hear a trio sonata by J.S. Bach, featuring both violin and flute, and with Mr. Strong on the piano.

Prokofiev, Flute Sonata in D, op. 94

Franck, Violin Sonata in A Major, M.8

J.S. Bach, Trio Sonata in G Major, BWV 1038
